Introductory Fly Fishing Course Agenda

10:00 am : Meet and Greet for 10:30 start.

10:30 am: Overview of  equipment:

1. 1. Flies –  imitate insects, and other trout food. Small and very light
   2. Leader – 9 to 12 feet (3 to 4 m) of tapered nylon
   3. Fly Line – Thick PVC line – the fly line casts the fly
   4. Reel – Direct wind, Left or right,
   5. Fly Rod – Various lengths and weights

11:00 am: Casting on the Grass

1. 1. Demonstration and explanation
   2. Casting tuition and exercises

12:30 pm: Lunch

01:30 pm: Fishing (and with luck some catching)

03:30 pm: Course Close
