“I was impressed to see what the dry fly techniques could do, as demonstrated by our instructor. After practising on the oval I was keen to give it a go on the stream. I particularly liked the techniques for casting under bushes, the Roll Cast from the hand, cast and the improved accuracy of the placement of the fly on the water surface. While I’m still coming to grips with the mending and placement of the line on underpowered curved cast, I can see the definite potential of practice on this one. Overall a well organised ay, excellent instruction, very enjoyable, and left with the sense that this is going to improve my stream fishing.
